Streamzy is a platform for members to find, share and match movies and TV shows that are streaming with their loved ones. The goal is to allow users to save time when deciding what to watch so they can enjoy their free time together.

Streamzy is a platform that helps users easily discover, share, and match movies and TV shows available across popular streaming services. Its goal is to simplify the decision-making process so users can focus more on enjoying what they watch, not stressing over what to pick.

THE CHALLENGE
The main challenge was that the app’s purpose wasn’t clearly communicated to users. To solve this, we focused on clarifying expectations and guiding user actions by:
- Improving usability without requiring an account, giving users more value upfront
- Making it easier to add, share, and match titles
- Simplifying the movie detail view to make key information quick to scan

Personas
Beth and Carl have weekly movie nights but struggle to choose from many options, causing frustration.
Their go-to phrase on weekends is
- "What do you want to watch?"
- "I don't know. What do you want to watch?"
With demanding jobs and three kids, they seek a stress-free and enjoyable movie night experience to maximize their limited free time.

After running the heuristic evaluation of the whole app and brainstorming, we decided to divide and conquer.

RESULTS
Focusing on a more straightforward and accessible user flow and incorporating quick access to the watchlist and sharing titles, Streamzy users could manage and share their preferred content with others effortlessly. A revised information hierarchy simplified the match list's organization into one accessible section. After our changes, Streamzy was able to give their users, what they want: free time.
